Description
This Costa Rican tea recipe blends lemon verbena, ginger, turmeric, mint, and pineapple for a naturally detoxifying, fat-burning infusion. It’s earthy, citrusy, and perfect for weight loss support.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced
- ½ tablespoon fresh turmeric (or 1/2 teaspoon ground)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- ¼ cup fresh mint leaves
- ⅓ cup pineapple
- 1 cup water
- 1 Lemon Verbena tea bag with the tag cut off
- 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar (optional)
- Lemon slice (optional)
- Honey (optional)
Instructions
1. To a medium pot, add the ginger, turmeric, mint, pineapple, water, and tea bag.
2. Bring to a simmer on low heat, then remove from the heat and cover.
3. Allow to steep for 10 minutes.
4. Strain into a mug, add in any optional ingredients.
5. Serve hot. Or chill in the fridge and serve over ice.
Notes
Apple cider vinegar adds gut-boosting acidity and intensifies fat-burning properties. Honey is great for soothing digestion. Lemon slices bring out the citrus notes and boost detox benefits.
