  • Author: Callie Brooks
  • Total Time: 3 minutes
  • Yield: 1 cup 1x
  • Diet: Vegan

Description

A clean, grounding Japanese-inspired drink using pink salt, lemon, and mountain yam or daikon. Perfect for morning hydration and mineral replenishment.

Ingredients

Scale

⅛ tsp pink Himalayan salt

Juice of half a lemon

12 thin slices of mountain yam (or daikon radish as a substitute)

1 cup warm water

Instructions

1. Pour the warm water into a glass or a mug.

2. Add the lemon juice and pink Himalayan salt. Stir gently with a spoon until the salt is completely dissolved.

3. Add the thin slices of mountain yam or daikon radish. Allow them to infuse the water for about one minute.

4. Sip slowly as a gentle morning tonic to hydrate and replenish minerals.

Notes

This is a clean, grounding drink inspired by Okinawan healing traditions. The yam or daikon adds a very mild texture and subtle earthiness.

Where to Buy: Mountain yam and daikon radish can typically be found at Asian markets or stores with a large international produce section.
