Description
A simple, soothing Japanese pink salt recipe with lemon and honey to support hydration, digestion, and morning energy. This drink is believed to help with metabolism and mineral balance when consumed on an empty stomach.
Ingredients
For the base:
• 1 cup filtered water (room temperature or slightly warm)
• 1 pinch pink Himalayan salt (fine grain is best for quick dissolving)
For flavor and wellness boost:
• 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon raw honey (adjust to taste)
Instructions
1. Add the filtered water to a glass or jar. Make sure it’s clean and clear for better mixing.
2. Stir in the pink Himalayan salt. Mix until the grains are fully dissolved. This ensures the minerals are evenly distributed.
3. Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice and stir well. Lemon adds a bright, clean flavor and natural vitamin C.
4. Add the raw honey and stir again until it’s fully blended. Honey not only adds sweetness but also helps soothe the digestive system.
5. Taste and adjust. If it’s too salty or sour, add a little more water or honey to balance.
6. Drink it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach for best results. You can also chill it with ice for a refreshing version.
Notes
• Add a few slices of fresh ginger for extra warmth and digestive support
• Use maple syrup instead of honey if vegan
• Try it iced with fresh mint leaves for a cooling twist
• Mix in a splash of apple cider vinegar for added acidity and probiotic benefits
• If you’re sensitive to salt, reduce the amount slightly and adjust over time
