Description

Smooth, tart-sweet jellied cranberry sauce made from scratch. Perfectly sliceable and full of holiday flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1¼ cups sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • Optional: 1 tbsp sea moss gel or 1 tsp citrus zest

Instructions

1. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, and salt over medium heat.

2. Simmer 10–12 minutes, stirring and mashing until most berries have popped.

3. Remove from heat and strain through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl.

4. Pour into mold or jar. Let cool to room temperature.

5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.

6. Unmold, slice, and serve chilled.

Notes

Do not reduce sugar unless using low-sugar pectin.

Strain while hot for a smooth texture.

Store up to 10 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months.

Serve cold for best texture.
