Description
Smooth, tart-sweet jellied cranberry sauce made from scratch. Perfectly sliceable and full of holiday flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1¼ cups sugar
- ½ cup water
- ¼ tsp sea salt
- Optional: 1 tbsp sea moss gel or 1 tsp citrus zest
Instructions
1. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, and salt over medium heat.
2. Simmer 10–12 minutes, stirring and mashing until most berries have popped.
3. Remove from heat and strain through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl.
4. Pour into mold or jar. Let cool to room temperature.
5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
6. Unmold, slice, and serve chilled.
Notes
Do not reduce sugar unless using low-sugar pectin.
Strain while hot for a smooth texture.
Store up to 10 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months.
Serve cold for best texture.
