Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture. This recipe can be made ahead and chilled overnight for enhanced flavor. Make it vegetarian by omitting salami and adding more olives or artichokes. Roll in fresh herbs or shredded cheese for presentation. Serve with sturdy crackers or toasted baguette.
