Method
- 1. Boil the Water: In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- 2. Dissolve the Sugar: Add tapa de dulce and the cinnamon stick. Stir until fully dissolved and golden brown.
- 3. Brew the Tea: Remove from heat. Add tea bags to the mixture. Cover and steep for 5 minutes.
- 4. Finish & Strain: Remove the tea bags and the cinnamon stick. Stir in lime juice if using.
- 5. Serve: Pour into cups. Garnish with lime wedges. Enjoy hot or serve over ice.

This tea can also be served cold over ice.
For an extra kick, add a pinch of ground ginger or cayenne.
