Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup all natural creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup mashed bananas (approximately 2-3 ripe bananas)
  • 1 each egg
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • cup pure maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • cup chocolate chips Can be replaced with dark chocolate chunks or dried fruits.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except for the chocolate chips. The batter will be quite thick.
  3. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the batter into the lined pan and spread it evenly, smoothing out the top.
  5. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes. You’ll want the brownies to look barely set in the middle – they should be gooey!
  6. Once done, take them out of the oven and let the brownies cool fully in the pan before slicing.
