Bariatric Seed Drink Recipe: Guide to the Viral Trend

A fiber-rich, appetite-suppressing bariatric seed drink made with pumpkin seeds, chia, flaxseed, and cinnamon. Great before meals to reduce cravings and support digestion.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup raw pumpkin seeds pepitas
  • ¼ cup chia seeds
  • ¼ cup ground flaxseed
  • 2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp Ceylon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Method
 

  1. 1. Toast pumpkin seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 4–5 minutes, stirring often until they pop.
  2. 2. Remove from heat and let cool for 2 minutes in a bowl.
  3. 3. Add chia seeds, ground flaxseed, lemon zest, cinnamon, and sea salt to the bowl and mix.
  4. 4. Grind everything into a fine powder using a high-speed blender or grinder.
  5. 5. Store in a sealed glass jar at room temperature for up to 3 weeks.
  6. 6. To make the drink, mix 1 tablespoon of the seed mix with 1 cup warm water and lemon juice. Let sit for 3–5 minutes before drinking.
  7. 7. Optionally, add grated ginger for a thermogenic boost.
