Preparation
- Bake the boxed chocolate brownies according to the package directions and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
- Once cool, break or crumble the brownies into bite-size pieces or coarse crumbs.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and 2 cups of cold milk until the mixture thickens.
- Chill the pudding briefly if needed to firm up.
Assembly
- In a clear trifle bowl, arrange the first layer of crumbled brownies across the bottom.
- Spoon a generous layer of the prepared vanilla pudding over the brownies.
- Scatter a layer of crushed Oreos on top.
- Continue alternating layers of brownie, pudding, and crushed Oreos until the bowl is filled.
- Finish with a final layer of pudding on top.
- Spread or pipe whipped cream over the top layer of pudding.
- If desired, add a few drops of green food coloring to a small amount of whipped cream.
- Garnish with mint leaves.
Chilling
- Cover the trifle and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
