Ingredients
  

For the trifle
  • 1 box chocolate brownies (prepared as per package instructions) Use dense fudgy brownie mix for best texture.
  • 1 package vanilla pudding mix For a richer taste, use full-fat milk.
  • 2 cups milk Use cold milk for preparing pudding.
  • 1 package Oreos (crushed) Classic or double-stuffed work well.
  • 1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip For a lighter dessert, opt for Cool Whip.
  • to taste Green food coloring (optional) For decoration.
  • a few Mint leaves (for garnish, optional) Fresh mint enhances flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bake the boxed chocolate brownies according to the package directions and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
  2. Once cool, break or crumble the brownies into bite-size pieces or coarse crumbs.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and 2 cups of cold milk until the mixture thickens.
  4. Chill the pudding briefly if needed to firm up.
Assembly
  1. In a clear trifle bowl, arrange the first layer of crumbled brownies across the bottom.
  2. Spoon a generous layer of the prepared vanilla pudding over the brownies.
  3. Scatter a layer of crushed Oreos on top.
  4. Continue alternating layers of brownie, pudding, and crushed Oreos until the bowl is filled.
  5. Finish with a final layer of pudding on top.
  6. Spread or pipe whipped cream over the top layer of pudding.
  7. If desired, add a few drops of green food coloring to a small amount of whipped cream.
  8. Garnish with mint leaves.
Chilling
  1. Cover the trifle and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.

Notes
