Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp dried butterfly pea flowers or 1 tea bag
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 tsp honey or agave syrup
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon or lime
  • Sparkling water optional
  • Fresh mint or basil for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Method
 

  1. 1. Steep butterfly pea flowers or tea bag in hot water for 5–7 minutes until deeply blue.
  2. 2. Strain the tea (if using flowers) and stir in honey while the tea is still warm.
  3. 3. Let it chill in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes.
  4. 4. Fill a glass with ice and pour the chilled tea over it.
  5. 5. Add lemon or lime juice slowly to trigger the magical color change.
  6. 6. Top with sparkling water if desired and garnish with mint or basil.
