- Grease a 6-quart crockpot or slow cooker insert to prevent sticking.
- Spread the apple pie filling evenly across the bottom of the crockpot.
- Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the apples.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top. Do not stir.
- Pour the melted butter evenly across the cake mix to cover it fully.
- Cover and cook on high for 2–3 hours or on low for 3–4 hours, until golden and bubbly.
- Serve warm with extra caramel sauce or vanilla ice cream, if desired.
