Method
 

Preparation and Caramel Base
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/4 cup of unsalted butter with 1 cup of granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared cake pan and evenly distribute the blueberries over the caramelized sugar layer.
Cake Batter Preparation
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix together 2 large eggs, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1/2 cup of brown sugar until combined.
  3. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just blended.
  4. Pour the batter carefully over the blueberries in the pan.
Baking and Serving
