Preparation
- Shred sharp cheddar cheese and prepare ingredients.
- Combine ground chicken, cheddar cheese, egg, panko breadcrumbs, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a spacious mixing bowl.
- Mix gently, taking care not to overwork the meat.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form each into a patty approximately 3/4 inch thick.
Cooking
- Heat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive or avocado oil.
- Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- Flip them over and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Optionally, toast the burger buns in a separate pan or under the broiler until lightly golden.
Assembly
- Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patties onto the buns and adding your desired toppings.
- Serve hot!
