Chicken with Buttered Noodles

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts Boneless and skinless
  • 8 ounces egg noodles Can swap for whole wheat or gluten-free noodles
  • 4 tablespoons butter Divided into two portions for cooking
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning
  • Parsley for garnish (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, and add them to the skillet.
  3. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and no longer pink inside. Remove the chicken and let it rest.
  4. In the same skillet, add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss them in the buttery sauce until well coated.
  6. Slice the rested chicken and serve it over the noodles, garnishing with parsley if desired.

Notes
