Toppings

  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder, sugar, and melted butter, stirring until well blended.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until the batter becomes smooth.
  4. Gently incorporate flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it out evenly.
Baking
  1. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
  2. Allow the brownies to cool completely before topping with Easter candies and slicing to serve.
