Ingredients

  • 64 pretzel sticks (about 8 per web)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or candy melts
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 8 mini chocolate candies or candy eyes
  • black licorice strings (optional, for spider legs)
  • parchment paper (for lining trays)

Equipment

  • baking sheets
  • parchment paper
  • microwave-safe bowls
  • spoon or piping bags
  • zip-top bags (optional)
  • serving tray

Method

  1. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Prepare all ingredients including melted chocolates and candies before beginning.
  2. Place 6–8 pretzel sticks in a star shape on the parchment paper, tips meeting in the center to form the web base.
  3. Melt semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring between each. Repeat for white chocolate in a separate bowl.
  4. Spoon melted chocolate into piping or zip-top bags. Cut a small corner and drizzle chocolate in spirals over the pretzels from the center outward, alternating colors for contrast.
  5. While chocolate is still soft, press a mini candy or M&M in the center for the spider body. Add licorice legs if desired.
  6. Let the webs harden at room temperature or chill in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  7. Once firm, carefully lift webs from parchment and arrange on serving trays or package as Halloween gifts.

Notes

Use piping bags for neater webs and work quickly before chocolate hardens. Alternate white and dark chocolate for contrast. Let the webs fully chill before removing from parchment to keep clean edges. For extra fun, let kids decorate their own!
