  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk Approximately 110°F (43°C)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Pour the yeast mixture, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract into the dry ingredients.
  4. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough, fold in any optional ingredients like dried fruits, nuts, or chocolate chips, and mix until evenly distributed.
  7. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan; allow it to rise for another 30-45 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  3. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
