Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup warm milk You can substitute almond milk for a dairy-free option.
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted Feel free to use lactose-free butter for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 packet active dry yeast Make sure the yeast is fresh.
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Filling Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
Topping
  • to taste cream cheese frosting For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add melted butter, egg, and the yeast mixture; combine until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a warm area and let it rise for about 1 hour, until it has doubled in size.
Rolling and Filling
  1. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle.
  2. Spread with melted butter, then sprinkle generously with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  3. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut it into rolls.
Baking
  1. Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  3. Once baked, generously slather with cream cheese frosting before serving.

Notes
