  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar divided
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk can use almond milk for dairy-free option
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted can substitute with coconut oil for non-dairy version
Topping
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and half of the sugar in a large bowl.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, and melted butter until well combined.
  4. Gradually blend the wet ingredients into the dry ones, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  5. Pour the dough into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Finishing Touch
  1. Let cool slightly, then brush with melted butter and sprinkle the remaining sugar mixed with cinnamon over the top.

Notes
