Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed Oreos (keep some chunks)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Equipment

  • hand mixer or stand mixer
  • mixing bowls
  • rubber spatula
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • cookie scoop
  • cooling rack

Method

  1. Cream the butter and sugars until fluffy using a hand or stand mixer. Add the egg and vanilla extract and beat until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  3. Gently fold in the crushed Oreos and white chocolate chips without overmixing.
  4. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough onto a lined baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
  6. Cool the cookies before serving to let them set properly.

Notes

For a festive twist, sprinkle crushed peppermint or drizzle melted white chocolate over the top. Want extra texture? Press a few Oreo pieces on top before baking. Chill your dough for thicker cookies and avoid overbaking to keep centers soft and chewy.
