Preparation
- In a small saucepan, bring water, butter, and sugar to a boil. Stir until butter melts completely.
- Reduce heat and stir in flour until a smooth dough forms and pulls from the sides of the pan.
- Let the dough cool slightly, then mix in the egg and vanilla until smooth and glossy.
- Transfer dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe 2-inch churro bites onto parchment paper.
Cooking
- Place in your air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes or until golden and crisp.
Coating
- While warm, toss churros in cinnamon sugar to create that signature sweet crunch.
