These warm, golden churro bites are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, coated in sweet cinnamon sugar that melts in your mouth.

Ingredients
  

For the churro dough
  • 1 cup water Moisture for dough
  • 2 tbsp butter Adds flavor and softness (Coconut oil for dairy-free)
  • 1 tbsp sugar Sweetens dough (Honey or maple syrup)
  • 1 cup flour Forms the dough (Gluten-free flour blend)
  • 1 large egg Binds the dough
  • ½ tsp vanilla Flavor enhancer (Almond extract for twist)
For the coating
  • ½ cup sugar Adjust spice to taste
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon Adjust spice to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan, bring water, butter, and sugar to a boil. Stir until butter melts completely.
  2. Reduce heat and stir in flour until a smooth dough forms and pulls from the sides of the pan.
  3. Let the dough cool slightly, then mix in the egg and vanilla until smooth and glossy.
  4. Transfer dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe 2-inch churro bites onto parchment paper.
Cooking
  1. Place in your air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes or until golden and crisp.
Coating
  1. While warm, toss churros in cinnamon sugar to create that signature sweet crunch.

Notes
