These crispy oven baked sweet potato fries are golden on the outside, soft on the inside, and baked to perfection without frying.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika optional
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Fresh herbs optional garnish

Method
 

  1. 1. Cut sweet potatoes into 1/4-inch thick sticks.
  2. 2. Soak fries in cold water for 30 minutes.
  3. 3. Drain and pat completely dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  4. 4. Toss with cornstarch until lightly coated.
  5. 5. Add olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix well.
  6. 6. Spread fries on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer.
  7. 7. Bake at 425°F for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway.
  8. 8. Remove from oven when edges are golden and crisp.
  9. 9. Serve hot with optional fresh herbs and dipping sauces.
