  1. Brown the beef: Start by cooking ground beef in a skillet until it’s nicely browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Prep the veggies: Dice onions, carrots, celery, and potatoes.
Cooking
  1. Load the Crockpot: Add the browned beef, vegetables, garlic, beef broth, and seasonings to your slow cooker. Stir well to combine.
  2. Cook low and slow: Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the potatoes are tender.
  3. Add the creamy finish: In the final 30 minutes, stir in milk and shredded cheddar cheese. Let everything melt together into a smooth, cheesy soup.
  4. Serve and garnish: Top with crumbled bacon, extra cheese, or green onions for a restaurant-style finish.

Notes
