Ingredients

  • 12 oz white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 11 oz caramel bits or soft caramels (25–30 pieces)
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream
  • 1 medium green apple, finely diced (about 1 cup)
  • optional toppings: sea salt, nuts, or crushed pretzels

Equipment

  • microwave-safe bowl
  • rubber spatula
  • baking sheet
  • parchment or wax paper
  • refrigerator

Method

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper to create a non-stick base.
  2. Microwave white chocolate in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth. Spread into a rectangle about ¼–½ inch thick.
  3. In a separate bowl, microwave caramel with milk until glossy and melted. Stir well.
  4. Drizzle the caramel over the chocolate layer, then sprinkle evenly with diced green apples.
  5. Add optional toppings like sea salt, chopped nuts, or pretzel pieces for extra crunch.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes until fully set and firm.
  7. Break into rustic pieces and serve. Store in the fridge to keep firm.

Notes

Dry apples with a paper towel before adding to prevent soggy bark. Swap in dried apples for longer shelf life. For texture, try adding crushed pretzels, sea salt, or chopped nuts. Chill fully before breaking into pieces. Store in the fridge or freezer.
