- Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables, tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper. Allow this to simmer for 5-7 minutes until it thickens.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a casserole dish and spread it evenly to form a base layer.
- Top with your prepared mashed potatoes, ensuring the filling is well-covered. Dot it with butter and sprinkle with cheddar cheese if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
- Let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
