Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine cherries, granulated sugar, and cornstarch, mixing well to coat the cherries.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt.
- Add melted butter to the dry mixture, mixing until crumbly.
- Press half of this oat mixture into a greased 9x9-inch baking dish.
- Spread the cherry mixture evenly over the crust.
- Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the top.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing.
