Festive Christmas Cranberry Roll Ups

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions or chives (optional)
  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • fresh rosemary (optional garnish)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Fold in cranberry sauce, nuts, and green onions if using.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough on a floured surface and press seams to form a rectangle.
  4. Spread the cranberry mixture evenly over the dough.
  5. Roll the dough tightly from the long side to form a log. Slice into 1-inch pinwheels.
  6. Place slices cut-side up on the baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and puffed.
  8. Cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh rosemary if desired.
