- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add in the flour and salt, stirring just until combined—don’t overmix!
- Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Flatten each ball slightly and sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few moments before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
