Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add in the flour and salt, stirring just until combined—don’t overmix!
  4. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Flatten each ball slightly and sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
  7. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few moments before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
