Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can condensed Cream of Mushroom soup 10.5 ounces
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 4 cups cut green beans fresh, frozen, or canned
  • 1 1/3 cups crispy French fried onions divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. 1. Spray a 9x9 casserole dish with cooking spray.
  2. 2. If using fresh beans, wash, cut, and blanch for 2 minutes. Drain well. If using canned, drain; if frozen, thaw.
  3. 3. In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth, then stir in soy sauce.
  4. 4. Add green beans, 2/3 cup of the onions, and pepper. Stir to coat.
  5. 5. Spread mixture evenly in casserole dish.
  6. 6. Oven method: Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes. Stir, top with remaining onions, bake 5 more minutes until golden.
  7. 7. Air fryer method: Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes. Stir, top with remaining onions, cook 2 more minutes to crisp.

Notes

Use reduced sodium soy sauce and unsalted soup if you prefer lower sodium.
