  • 1 lb steak (such as sirloin or ribeye), cut into 1-inch cubes Choose a steak with some marbling for juiciness.
  • 2 pieces bell peppers, cut into 1-inch pieces Any color is fine; red and yellow are sweeter.
  • 1 piece onion, cut into wedges Cut into pieces similar in size to steak cubes.
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes Optionally, skip for freezing.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can reduce to cut calories.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Use low-sodium or tamari for gluten-free.
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (wooden or metal) Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before use.

Preparation
  1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Add the steak cubes to the marinade, toss to coat thoroughly, and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Cut vegetables (bell peppers and onion) into 1-inch pieces.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Thread the marinated steak, bell peppers, onion wedges, and cherry tomatoes onto skewers.
  3. Place kabobs on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning every few minutes.
  4. Remove skewers from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
