  • 1 cup whole wheat flour Can be substituted with all-purpose flour.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar Increase if a sweeter coating is desired.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Additional cinnamon for coating.
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
  • as needed cooking spray To spray air fryer basket.
Coating
  • as needed additional cinnamon and sugar For coating after cooking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. Pour in the melted coconut oil and water, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C).
  4. Shape the dough into small bites, about 1 inch in size.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  6. Place the churro bites in the basket, ensuring they have some space around them.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  2. In a small bowl, mix additional cinnamon and sugar together.
  3. As soon as the churro bites are done, toss them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, and enjoy your delightful treat!
