Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 unit egg at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon red food coloring
Topping
  • Hershey’s Kisses for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  6. Take small portions of the dough and form them into balls. Place them on a baking sheet about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for about 10-12 minutes.
  8. Immediately after removing them from the oven, press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
  9. Let the cookies cool before serving to enjoy the perfect texture.

Notes
