Ingredients

For the Marinade and Chicken
  • 1 lb Chicken thighs or breasts For juicy, tender meat.
  • 1/3 cup Honey Star ingredient for sweetness and stickiness.
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce For saltiness and umami.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Fresh or minced, for an aromatic flavor.
For the Fried Rice
  • 3 cups Cooked rice Preferably day-old for best texture.
  • 1 cup Mixed vegetables Peas, carrots, and bell peppers work well.
  • 2 large Eggs Optional, adds protein and richness.
  • 2 tbsp Oil For cooking.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Toss the chicken to coat evenly and let it marinate for about 20 minutes.
Cooking the Chicken
  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken, cooking each side until golden and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes. Set aside.
Fried Rice Preparation
  1. In the same pan, add more oil if needed. Stir-fry your chopped veggies for about 2 minutes. Push them to the sides, then add eggs (if using) and scramble.
  2. Mix in the cooked rice, breaking up any clumps. Incorporate soy sauce and stir everything together until heated through.
Serving
  1. Plate the fried rice and top with the sliced honey garlic chicken. Drizzle any leftover sauce over the top.
