Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb salmon fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces For best texture, use fresh salmon.
  • 1/4 cup honey Can substitute with maple syrup if desired.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Use low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier option.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Can substitute with lemon or orange juice.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the salmon pieces to the bowl and ensure they are thoroughly coated in the marinade. Let them sit for at least 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. While the salmon marinates, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your grill.
  2. Place the marinated salmon on a baking sheet or grill them directly. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  3. If desired, brush on some extra glaze during the cooking for added flavor.
  4. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For storage, keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. For longer storage, freeze the cooked salmon after cooling it completely. Reheat in the oven or skillet for best texture.
