Preparation
- Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for a few minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and mixed spice.
- Add in the butter, eggs, and yeast mixture, mixing until combined.
- Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and allow to rise in a warm environment until doubled, about 1-2 hours.
Baking
- Shape the risen dough into buns and place them on a baking sheet.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Allow the buns to rise again until puffy.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to create glaze and drizzle over the warm buns.
