Japanese Mounjaro Drink: The Traditional Gut-Reset Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tsp ceremonial grade matcha powder
  • 1 small strip dried kombu about 2 inches
  • 1 tsp unsweetened umeboshi plum paste or 1 whole plum, pitted and mashed
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 1 cup warm water not boiling, about 175°F/80°C

Method
 

  1. 1. Soak the kombu strip in the warm water for 10 minutes. Once the water is infused, remove and discard the kombu.
  2. 2. To the kombu-infused water, add the matcha powder, umeboshi paste, and freshly grated ginger.
  3. 3. Using a bamboo whisk or a small milk frother, whisk vigorously until the matcha is completely dissolved and a light froth forms on top.
  4. 4. Pour into a mug and sip slowly while warm.
