Jellied Cranberry Sauce

Smooth, tart-sweet jellied cranberry sauce made from scratch. Perfectly sliceable and full of holiday flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries
  • cups sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • Optional: 1 tbsp sea moss gel or 1 tsp citrus zest

Method
 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, and salt over medium heat.
  2. 2. Simmer 10–12 minutes, stirring and mashing until most berries have popped.
  3. 3. Remove from heat and strain through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl.
  4. 4. Pour into mold or jar. Let cool to room temperature.
  5. 5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
  6. 6. Unmold, slice, and serve chilled.

Notes

Do not reduce sugar unless using low-sugar pectin.
