Preparation
- Prepare the seasoning mix by blending all spices in a bowl and set aside.
- Divide the ground chuck into six equal portions and gently form them into patties slightly larger than bun-sized.
- Create a slight indentation in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.
- Let the patties rest while you preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Grilling
- Sprinkle the seasoning evenly over each patty and place them indent-side up on the hot grill.
- Cover the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes until a sear develops and juices surface.
- Flip and continue grilling for another 3-4 minutes, or until the internal temperature hits 160°F.
- In the last minute of cooking, add the cheese on top of each patty.
Assembly
- Transfer the patties to a plate and let them rest before serving on toasted buns.
- Top with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and your choice of condiments.
