Preparation and Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs, one by one, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  4. Stir in the lemon juice and zest until evenly incorporated.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just blended.
  7. Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Once done, cool completely and dust with powdered sugar before cutting into squares.
