Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and sugar until smooth. Spread it evenly in the bottom of your prepared baking dish.
- Pour the lemon pie filling over the cream cheese layer.
- In another bowl, combine the lemon cake mix with melted butter and water. Stir until just mixed; don’t overdo it.
- Spoon the cake mix mixture over the lemon pie filling.
- Pop it in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving. It can be served warm or chilled.
