- Place the butter in a large saucepan and warm over low heat until fully melted.
- Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir continuously over low heat until smooth and completely melted. If desired, blend in green food coloring at this stage.
- Remove from heat and fold in both cereals until every piece is coated and the mixture is evenly combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and press into an even layer with a lightly greased spatula or hands.
- Let the pan sit at room temperature until fully cooled and set before slicing into squares.
- If desired, scatter sprinkles on top while the surface is slightly tacky.
