Pudding Base
  • 1 can 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk Standard ingredient for the pudding base.
  • 1.5 cups cold milk Use cold milk for better blending.
  • 2 packages 3.4-ounce packages of instant vanilla pudding mix Make sure it's instant for proper consistency.
  • 3 cups heavy whipping cream This should be whipped for a light texture.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds depth of flavor to the whipped cream.
Layering Ingredients
  • 4 pieces ripe bananas, sliced Use very ripe bananas for best flavor.
  • 1 box Nilla wafers These can be swapped for vanilla cookies or ladyfingers.

Method
 

Preparation of Pudding
  1. In a medium bowl, mix sweetened condensed milk and cold milk until completely blended.
  2. Gradually whisk in the pudding mix, stirring until thickened.
  3. In another bowl, whip cream with vanilla until peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture.
Layering and Chilling
  1. In a large serving dish, layer with cookies, bananas, and pudding, repeating until all ingredients are used.
  2. Allow to chill for at least four hours, or overnight for best results.
