Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ribeye steak (or sirloin) Tender, flavorful beef base
  • 12 oz Pasta (penne or rotini) Holds sauce and cheese well
  • 1 medium Onion (sliced thin) Adds sweetness and depth
  • 2 Bell peppers (green & red) Brings color and crunch
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced) Boosts savory flavor
  • 4 oz Cream cheese Creates creamy texture
  • 2 cups Shredded provolone or mozzarella Classic cheesy melt
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce Adds tangy tomato base
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil For sautéing
  • Salt and pepper To taste
  • Optional: mushrooms or jalapeños As desired for custom flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. Boil the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about half a cup of the pasta water for later.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers. Cook for 5–7 minutes until soft and caramelized, then add the minced garlic. Stir until fragrant.
  3. Push the veggies to the side and add the thinly sliced ribeye steak. Season with salt and pepper. Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
  4. Pour in the marinara sauce and stir in the cream cheese. Let it melt into a smooth, creamy base. Add a splash of pasta water if needed for extra creaminess.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss everything until coated evenly. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top and let it melt.
  6. For a casserole-style twist, transfer it to a baking dish and broil for 3–4 minutes until golden and bubbly.
