  • 6 oz Ham Quality ham preferred

  • 1 cup Roasted red peppers Jarred or homemade
  • 1/3 cup Olive tapenade Substitute with pesto for variation
Vegetarian Option
  • 1 cup Roasted vegetables Freshly roasted for maximum flavor
  • 1/2 cup Hummus Use as a spread in the vegetarian version

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the crusty bread in half horizontally.
  2. Layer the salami, ham, provolone, roasted peppers, and olive tapenade on the bottom half of the loaf.
  3. For a vegetarian option, swap in roasted vegetables and hummus instead.
  4. Place the top half of the bread back on and gently press down to compress.
  5. Wrap the sandwich tightly in plastic wrap and add weight on top to press it down more firmly.
  6. Refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours, preferably overnight, for optimal flavor.
  7. When ready to enjoy, unwrap the sandwich and slice it into manageable portions.
