  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring Can substitute with natural alternatives.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Frosting Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk Add more if needed for desired consistency.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar until well mixed.
  3. Incorporate the eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring, stirring until blended.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually mix these dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the rich, red batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking with a toothpick inserted in the center; it should come out clean.
Frosting
  1. While the brownies cool, prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together.
  2. Add milk until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Once the brownies are completely cool, spread the cream cheese frosting on top and cut them into squares.
