  • 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
  • 1/4 tsp salt, or to taste
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2–3 tbsp hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
  • fresh basil or chives, to garnish (optional)
  • bread, crackers, or fresh veggies, to serve

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl combine ricotta, olive oil, garlic, salt, and red pepper flakes. Mix until smooth or blend in a food processor for a whipped texture.
  2. Spoon the mixture into a shallow dish.
  3. Drizzle with hot honey and a touch of olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve with your choice of dippers.
