Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter Softened at room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Can swap for white chocolate or butterscotch
  • 1 cup M&Ms Feel free to use holiday-themed ones

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly before adding the next. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this dry mixture into the creamed mixture until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, M&Ms, and sprinkles until evenly distributed.
  6. Using a rounded tablespoon, drop dollops of the cookie batter onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving space between each for spreading.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are golden.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on wire racks before serving.
