  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg yolk Using the yolk creates a chewier texture.
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour blend.
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips Can substitute with nuts or dried fruits.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  3. Stir in the egg yolk until the mixture is well incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing just until combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, forming one cookie.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center feels set.
