Ingredients
  

For the Tacos
  • 1 lb ground beef Choose lean ground beef or turkey if preferred.
  • 8 pieces taco-sized tortillas Warm before use for better texture.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American) Optional to swap cheese based on preference.
  • 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded For freshness.
  • 1/2 cup tomato, diced Can also add jalapeños for spice.
  • 1/4 cup onions, diced Use red or white onions based on preference.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season to your liking.
  • as needed tbsp cooking oil For frying the beef.
  • optional Pickles For added crunch and flavor.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Warm a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and drizzle in some cooking oil.
  2. Divide the ground beef into balls, each weighing around 2 oz.
  3. Once the skillet is heated, transfer the beef balls to the pan and allow them to cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Using a spatula, press down on each beef ball to form thin patties, then season with salt and pepper.
  5. Allow the patties to cook for 2-3 minutes until nicely browned on one side.
  6. Flip each patty and sprinkle cheese on top, letting it melt as it cooks.
  7. Warm your tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until flexible.
  8. Assemble by placing a smashed burger onto each tortilla and topping with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles if desired.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
