Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat your grill or stovetop skillet on high.
  2. Portion the ground beef into equal pieces (about 4 ounces each).
  3. Gently roll the beef into loose balls and season with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Place the beef balls onto the hot grill or skillet and press down firmly with a spatula to create patties.
  2. Cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing them to brown, then flip and add cheese if desired.
  3. Continue cooking for another minute or until the cheese has melted.
  4. If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet for added texture.
